My biography
The Council of the City of Philadelphia is honored to recognize and thank sculptor Viacheslav Kuzema for his dedicated service to the community.

History
May 31, 1975
Whereas, Viacheslav Kuzema was born on May 31, 1975 in USSR. He started his journey as a sculptor while a teenager in high school, participating in international exhibitions.
1990
In 1990, he graduated from the Art School for gifted youth.
1995
Whereas, Viacheslav Kuzuma was accepted to the Grekov University of Fine Art, the oldest and the most prestigious in the country, specializing in sculpture. Viacheslav graduated with honors in 1995.
2009
Whereas, In 2009, he began to work in his own studio. He participated in numerous international art competitions, and his works were published in American and European magazines.
2018
Whereas, Three years ago, in 2018, Viacheslav began his new journey in a new world in pursuit of the American Dream. He opened his own company named Family Tree Sculpture Inc., and in two years created more than 50 sculptures, including two very special art works that were commissioned for American Veterans.
2019-2020
Whereas, Viacheslav has a strong desire to support his community and the City of Philadelphia. An opportunity presented itself in 2019 when he was approached by a school parent from William Loesche Elementary School located in NE Philadelphia with idea to transform a dying tree in front of the school into a symbolic art object. Viacheslav immediately approached the school principal offering the donation of his time, talent and materials. His offer was enthusiastically accepted, and after two weeks, on January 1, 2020, a sculptured
7-foot Lion stood majestically in front of the school
Whereas, Through his hard work, talent, dedication, and generosity, Viacheslay has truly enriched the lives of his community.
Therefore, By virtue of this Citation, the Council of the City of Philadelphia is honored to recognize and thank Viacheslav Kuzema for his dedicated service to the community. We in this Council extend the sincere respect and admiration of this Legislative Body.
